All patches submitted for inclusion in the webOS-Patches feed must agree the patch will be licensed under the MIT Open Source License, also known as the X11 License. A copy of the license will be stored with each patch file. Further, the license requires that the copyright notice of the original author of the patch (and the authors of any modifications or improvements) must never be removed.

The license is as follows:
