=Mark some messages as read?=

Is there a way to select a certain number of messages and then mark them as read? I'll get a batch of messages from our monitoring server that I want to mark as read, but I have a dozen other messages in my inbox that I don't want marked as read at the same time.  Do you know who may have already been working on this?  Maybe I can pitch in and help them (or you) implement this -[[User:nt4cats|nt4cats]]
