Why doesn't this page just say "Install the Palm SDK according to Palm's instructions, then run palm-install <file>" ?

Then you get a Palm-supported method, which works on Windows, MacOS and Linux. -- Rod

Because you have to have the SDK installed, which is not for consumers. This method is for consumers and does not install use the SDK. The next step to this is to puruse non-dev mode. - xorg

But this method is for windows only. The default method should be cross-platform. -- Rod

True, but it can be easily ported to Mac and Linux with greg's java PreTool. The windows installer could be easily made into sh scripts if someone wants to port it.

I'm now pushing for finding a way to do this w/out dev/konami mode. It would raise the bar above the SDK method. The next natural step is for this package to install an app that allows loading homebrew apps over the air direct from webOS. We're just getting started. - xorg

ok, cool. xorg, do you ever come to the IRC channel? -- Rod
